Can't Update due to newest pip?

Hey
I have an Pi 3 running for years. There are also some GPIO stuff on it to remote control my printer, so make an backup and flash the newest image I'm really worried about.

My problem: I cant autoupdate some plugins because of python pip setuptools stuff.

Here is my setup:
OctoPrint 1.3.12
Python: 2.7.9 (du hast: 2.7.9)
pip: 9.0.3 (du hast: 19.3.1)
setuptools: 39.0.1 (du hast: 5.5.1)

I tried different stuff to get the right versionsnumber but I'm stuck in the jungle. Please help.
