(Fixed that for you.)
Here is the plugin form of the above. No guarantees it works completely for you, but in my testing with just this plugin and the bundled ones installed in OctoPrint it seems to work as expected. There are some tweaks that I may do down the road for this to make the settings interface a little better as it seemed that when adding items to the right side panel in settings they were still showing in the list of available ones until I restarted. Process is as follows, install the plugin using the URL below, open settings and in the OctoPrint-WideScreen section press the + button next to the panes you want to move to the right panel and then restart OctoPrint. As it loads up it should in theory move those items over to the right.

Thanks @OutsourcedGuru. In case you appreciate the amount of work I put in to making this for you @Zaphod you could shoot me a tip here.
jneilliii's too nice. I'd be like: "okay... I could do that but it would come at the cost of all the other cool things I'm working on right now..."
jneilliii,
Just installed the plugin. works great...
Scott
Glad it worked out, thanks for the tip.
This worked great!!! thanks!
is there any way to make the nav bar wide as well?
I'll have to make an update for that, but yes, it is possible.
Nice!
I'll keep an eye on this thread to check if you decide to make the update.
Just pushed a new version that makes the navbar full width.
You are the man!!!
Worked flawless!
Thanks! The original was was awesome, and then you made it better! KUDOS
just came across this, and looks great, can you move the entire Left bar all the way to the right? or even better hide it all with in another tab, I am using a 7inch touchscreen and the webpage is just too wide.
No, unfortunately it actually adds a second sidebar on the right for widescreens. My consolidated tabs plugin will allow you to merge tabs onto one, but still doesn't get rid of the sidebar. I personally just installed OctoDash on my 7" touch screen and it's working great. I had previously used it on my hyperpixel 4 touch screen and it works just as good on the larger screen.
I have a control box under my printer (RPi 3B+ with 6 relays) I use to control lights, camera, Action (printer) Fan and temperature sensor. I then have a 2nd Rpi with a 7inch touchscreen (trying to find a battery pack so I can make it portable), that I use to access the control RPi and use the enclosure plug in to operate the relays. the 2nd RPi acts as a "kiosk" and boots straight to the Octoprint web browser page, so the Octodash plug in wouldn't be ideal as I believe it wont have the enclosure plug in working with in it, would it?
You could use octodash completely remote I believe. The plugin support is just required to be installed on the octoprint side for needed API calls I believe, so all communication between octodash and octoprint is all over the network already.
I've even considered doing something similar to what you describe and running octodash on a pi zero w with integrated touchscreen.
I was going to use a pi zero, but had a spare Pi 3b+ and the raspberry pi 7inch wont work on the zero apparently. if you are part of the octoprint FB group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/piprint/) I posted a couple hours ago about my setup. just want to be able to customise the web interface to only show what I want on the front screen, and hide everything else, but have i less than zero experience with coding haha.
I use the dashboard plugin for my landing page, then have enclosure plugin on the second. would like to ad buttons to the dashboard plugin that operate the enclosure plugin buttons, and move the Left hand side bar to a new tab ideally. But wouldn't even know where to start.
Interesting. My Consolidated Tabs plugin would allow you to merge what you wanted into a single tab.
Hi, This does not put a pannel on the right in my setup, what could I have done that would cause this?
just installed as app and it does now
