Connection closed, closing down monitor. I have no printing problems before installing octoprint, so I think it is related to octoprint.

There's a lot of that going on. You might try visiting Settings and just turning off SD options.

And then there's...

Recv: Error:Hotend too cold

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that... your hotend is too cold.

  • Verify that the printer is plugged into an outlet which has power and that the power switch is in the ON position (the Pi will actually back-power the controller board enough to run but not to heat anything)
  • Verify that all printer connections are firmly-connected and where they're supposed to be
  • Try using the Temperature tab to preheat and verify that the temperature is increasing

Notice how your gcode both warmed up the hotend and then turned off both heaters. Note that the target temperature in the report back from the firmware indicates this fact and the two temperatures are now decreasing.

Check all your gcode scripts: those in Settings, in Cura, in post-processing scripts and try again in Safe Mode to see if any of your plugins are "helping".

Hi [OutsourcedGuru

Thanks for the answer, I will try to turn off SD option in my settings.

The rest I am not sure I understand? It is only in the feedback from the gcode (displayed in octoprint) that the temperature is decreasing, on the display on the printer, there is no such indication (stable 195 and 60 degrees) and if i disable octoprint I have no issues what so ever, super print quality from start to end. It is only when octoprint is enabled I have problems. How can that be?

Bet regards,
André

Whenever I'm in doubt to what a gcode command is I instantly head here to find out. The four lines I repeated are showing that your printer's hotend target was 195 and its actual temperature was 195.45 ("at heat").

Next, your gocde sent two commands to cool things down (hotend/bed). Look up what a M104 does as I've linked. The S0 part says "no heat". So this is all about your gcode and little to do with OctoPrint or your firmware (I'd guess).

hey there.
this just happened to me.
it is a firmware bug and not the temperature is the problem! once the bed is heated, the print "starts" and the hotend will be heated. in the same stage, the filament sensor is being checked.
If the filament sensor is not filled, you will get that weird "hotend too cold" message, because it can not start the print without filament.
If your filament sensor is filled, then check if it is properly attached and check the firmware configuration file with the arduino app and inspect the section about filament sensor.
there you may have checked or unchecked the wrong line.
I hope I could help you out!
