Downloading snapshot from Octolapse issue

What is the problem?

I can't download snapshots from octolapse. When I'm trying, after a while of processing, it displays an (!) error with the message "an error occurred while downloading your file. Error: [object ProgressEvent]"

File size is 1,1GB and I though it might be related because it could download smaller files before. Now it can download any snapshots. I can download small mp4 files tho.

What did you already try to solve it?

-I've tried to move snapshot to "unfinished renderings" - didn't help
-I've tried to plug SD to my PC but I cant access files directly (is it even possible? that would be really helpfull!)
-Rebooting, clearing logs, safe mode

Have you tried running in safe mode?

yes

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

no, I can't access octolapse plugin to browse files then

Hello @DisStream!

You can*t read the main partition with a Windows PC because its a Linux format.

The filename for the file you want to download is preceded by FAILED.
This means the compression went wrong. This can have various reasons: Not enough memory on the SD card, a power failure, a corrupted file system, no data to compress, ...

ok so I guess there is no possible way to recover those files? :frowning:

Mp4 from same print got rendered tho, but the quality is never the same as photos rendered in premiere pro

Maybe if you have a PC running Linux on hand.

oke, gonna try it then. Thank you for your help <3

Hello,

If you have a windows computer, you can install a FTP transfer program. I use Filezilla. once you have installed it, yo need to connect using the same way you would do with putty.

Both computers, raspberry pi and pc computer have to be connected to the same wifi.

Host: your IP address, for example, 192.168.1.100
username: ip
password: raspberry
port: 22

click "Quickconnect"

once you are connected, you can navigate for all the folders as in a windows computer

I have found where octolapse put the files, but I am afraid that octolapse deletes all the files once the render is complete, but you can change this behaviour activating the option "archive snapshots after rendering" in the octolapse settings.

The path I have found is this:

/home/pi/.octoprint/data/octolapse/tmp/octolapse_snapshots_tmp
