Hi, How do I remove a print file from the state section without having to switch my printer off then on again. I selected a wrong file to print but no matter what I do I can't find a way to change it to the correct file without switching the entire system off then on again.
They are referring to the state panel...
Typically just selecting another file in the file list will change the selected file, as long as the current state is Operational
.
Thanks, I've tried selecting another file and nothing happens. After searching the forum I came across a reply to a post stating that the Marlin software has a switch. Until I become more experienced I will stick to rebooting the system.
Is OctoPrint actually connected to the printer?
Yes it's a fully working system.
Have you tried to clear the browser cache (Crtl-F5)?
can you link this post for context?
Does the state never change from printing to operational on print completion/cancel? If not there may be some GCODE commands you can add to OctoPrint's gcode scripts to assist. I know with some of the custom firmware like jyers and mrisoc this is required for smooth operation. Here's the wiki reference: https://github.com/mriscoc/Ender3V2S1/wiki/Octoprint
Hi jneilliii, After following your link I think my problem may be linked to back-powering the usb connection. I will look into this later. Thanks
All sorted guys. My proble seemed to come from the 5v backfeed from the printer to RPi. Having isolated the 5v my under voltage warning and a couple of other faults have gone. All running well now.
