How to Troubleshoot ArducamControl

First post, new to Octo Print and new to the forum.

I just picked up an Arducam Pan Tilt mount (BO283) and added it to my OctoPi setup but it's not working. I'm looking for some troubleshooting ideas to determine if I've not set it up correctly or if the controller is not working.

I powered down the pi and connected the controller to the i2C GPIO pins per the documentation. And the servos to the controller. I have triple checked all my wiring to be sure all connections are correct.

I booted up the pi and armed the i2C interface per the instructions
I installed smbus
I made the noted edits to the config file
and installed the Arducamcontrol plugin via OctoPi
I rebooted the pi

The buttons now appear on the control tab of OctoPi but they are all grayed out and the mount is not working.

I ran i2cdetect -y 1 and it returned the following:

I'm a noob with i2C but I assume this is showing me that something is out there, the board I would think, at the two addresses 0x40 and 0x70.

I ran i2Cdump on both addresses and got this in return but being a noob I'm fairly clueless on what, if anything it's telling me.

I have gone over everything on this from hardware to software and done more reading in the forum and on the web but still no luck. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I think you are right to read i2cdetect output as something's out there at 40 and 70 and i2cdump shows some data for each.
But I have no experience with Arducam products and cannot help any further.
man i2cdump says of the program:

it is of little use unless you have good knowledge of the chip you're working with and an idea of what you are looking for.
