Marlin EEPROM Editor Issue

I've been doing an update to my Anet A8 printer by installing a RAMPS 1.6+ board. All seemed to be going well until I tried to tweak the firmware settings using the Marlin EEPROM Editor plugin. Prior to this, I never had an issue using the plugin. Now, I get the following message each time I try to upload changes:

#### Error reported by printer
Your printer's firmware reported an error. Due to that OctoPrint will disconnect. Reported error: EEPROM disabled

There is no error when I download from the eeprom, just when I attempt to upload.

Help?!?

It's probably a good idea to take this to the plugin's author on their repository.

Good point . . . will do!

Thanks!!

I am running Repetier firmware and it has configuration setting that determines whether to disable, enable, keep unchanged or overwrite EEPROM content while updating firmware. Most likely Marlin has similar setting. Based on the error message you are getting, your EEPROM is disabled.
