Maybe it's time to dump Google

We reasonably expect that our service providers are not secretively working against its consumers/users and for governments. In this case, if a Chinese citizen did a Google search which included marked keywords, their private name, GPS location and phone number were forwarded to the government. It is well-known that this then would eventually result in imprisonment and they will now be forced into slave labor to make consumer goods so that Wal-Mart can sell a toaster for $6.

I think this needs to stop. And by "stop", I'd suggest an all-out boycott of Google.

while I agree de-googling your life is important (I for e.g. don't use google for nothing but android development as google play is still unavoidable there) I doubt this is a place to discuss that    ....

now on the matter, something to help move

Nothing, really. But it is in the General section.
