Is there a timeline for when Octoprint will display it's progress on the MK4 display? Currently just the Ocotpus on there noting serial printing. ![]()
As soon as PrusaResearch fixes their firmware to do so.
Hi - was just checking to see if there were any new developments for Octoprint Progress Display for the MK4. I see that they have had multiple firmware releases. Thank you in advance. ![]()
I wouldn't know, I don't have a MK4.
No progress in the last versions. I would not hold my breath for this ... ![]()
The author of the plugin appears to be retired.
doesn't really matter what the plugin does, it's the responsibility of the firmware to display messages (M117) or print progress display (M73) on the printer's display.
So the queries should go to Prusa - not here.
Let the devs know at "feature request" show information's of prints from OctoPrint Β· Issue #189 Β· prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy Β· GitHub
Is this true also for print complete messaging? I miss print progress but if I can at least get that, I can continue to use print complete alerts within my print farm.
You can get this from OctoPrint's side already through event manager. My understanding is once the print completes on this newer Buddy firmware, that the OctoPrint logo shown on the printer display would go away once the print was completed.
I neglected to mention it up above, but the end goal is these messages get bubbled up into the MQTT plugin as that's where I've attached my monitoring/notifications. So far I haven't had success but I'm running disparate versions of Octoprint across the Prusa's (I'll be fixing that this weekend).
