Need to update - a bit lost - need help

Hey guys,

I've neglected my Octoprint instance for sometime now, it's been functional and so I just didn't bother with it much.

I've since decided it is beyond the time to update and now I'm sort of lost as to what steps I need to take to successfully and painlessly upgrade to the latest Octopi and Octoprint versions.

My current versions are:
OctoPrint : Version 1.4.2
OctoPi : Version 0.17.0
HW : Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2

Can someone shed some light on the easiest way to get current without losing all my current configurations?

For the latest octopi you unfortunately have to flash a fresh image - there is no update for the image.

You can update octoprint via the settings > software update menu :slight_smile:

So backup / flash new octpi / restore the best option to get everything including python updated?
