Octoprint & Self Host Obico

Hi,

Not sure where to put this so please move if in the wrong category.

I have installed a private self hosted instance of Obico that is linked with my local Octoprint, and have it working successfully on the local network. Is it possible for the Obico mobile app to still receive notifications outside of the local LAN? From what I'v read so far, I would need to create my own app and use pushover? Are there any other options?

I believe that this requires the Obico cloud, since push notifications have to go through their Firebase (I think) setup for it to get sent to the phone. So yes, self hosted must use some other service for notifications.
