Resolved: Octoprint swallowing extruder switch commands

I use Octoprint for quite some time, also for more than a year with my SnapMaker A350 (Footnote: an updated SnapMaker plugin would be nice).

While printing with a single extruder, everything is fine.

When doing a print that actually uses both extruders of my new dual extrusion head, I run into a problem.

1st workflow: Use the slicer that comes with the Snapmaker (Luban, wich relies on the cura slicer), export the gcode directly into the machine, start. Printing is done properly using both extruders.

2nd workflow: Same model, same slicer, but export to gcode file. Upload gcode file to Octoprint, which in turn sends the gcode to the machine. Result: Only the first extruder is used, no switching takes place.

Conclusion: Octoprint either takes out, ignores or gobbles the necessary gcode to switch the extruders.

Questions: Has anybody else run into this as well? Has anybody solved the problem already?

Hello @pahenning !

If you need help, please use the proper sub-forum Get Help with all the requested information.

Without any logs, it's just guessing.

Nice try, thank you. But my questions are quite precise, and not asking for help.

And yes, the problem is solved. Trivial solution: Octoprint takes out the T1 command in gcode if not configured for two extruders in the printer profile.

Sorry, but this sounds for me like a call for help.

And changing the topic to Resolved afterwards is not helpful too.

Sorry also - but this is definitely not true.
