Resume print after serial error

What is the problem?

Pi got disconnected from printer and the print stopped 33% through a multi day print.. is there a way to resume from where it stopped?

Taking a look at the sources that plugin does not even remotely do what it's advertised as but is merely the hello world plugin from the tutorial with some added settings.

Use the search, I've gone into detail a couple of times in this forum why a reliable resume feature is simply next to impossible with the current state of hardware and firmware.

Why no UPS support

For the record, there's a slight issue with the pause situation. In order to properly resume a print job, you need to query the pause position from the printer. Otherwise you'll skip at least one segment (and possibly more, depending on how large the printer's buffer is, and for that there's no solution). The thing is, when you send commands to the printer, it doesn't immediately execute them. It throws them into an internal planner buffer, uses them to plan acceleration and such and then exec…
