I've got a number of Pi's, including original ones that used full sized SD cards. I also have a 4GB Pi 4 that I was going to use for something else. I want to use a webcam, possibly two. Would a Pi 3 be more than enough? Or should I use the Pi 4? What advantages, of any, would there be?
A Pi 3 B+ is sufficient enough. I f you feel the 3 lacks of power, you can switch to the 4 without problems.
