Another Logitech doorstop. :)

Camera model
Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks (usBID 046d:0991)

What is the problem?
Cam recognized by RPi system, but will not start in Octoprint

What did you already try to solve it?
Been working on it for days. Tested in fswebcam (see below), took suggestions to kill mjpeg streamer, tried systemctl start (and restart, and enable) webcamd, many more steps- basically whatever I could find online.

Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)

webcamd.log empty. Current syslog.

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...)
Octoprint ver. 1.5.3, running on RPi 4B (4gb) with stock Rpi power supply

Logictech QC Pro for Notebooks worked fine initially, but now has stopped. I have been working for days to get it to start up again, with no luck. I used to get the webcam stream loading black screen. Now I get webcam stream not found.

lsusb shows the system recognizes the camera:

Bus 001 Device 005: ID 046d:0991 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Pro for Notebooks

/dev/video0 exists, along with videos 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. ( I do sometimes add my Canon 80D to do timelapse snapshots under Octolapse.)

Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated! Thanks Very much!

Have you tried running without your printer connected to see if the camera works then?

Yup. Same effect.

To find the webcamd log, run journalctl -u webcamd, it is not written to disk due to a bug in OctoPi 0.17.
