I have been using Octoprint for 3D printing for years, just got my first CNC machine and am trying to use Octoprint to control the CNC Machine a Fox Alien. I'm not sure what all the buttons are for like the bullseye and the magnifying glass, or the = (+,-,J)
What did you already try to solve it?
I have looked online, and here to find a page that explains them but have not been able to find one.
Have you tried running in safe mode?
N/A
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
N/A
Systeminfo Bundle
You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)
N/A
Additional information about your setup
OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, browser, operating system, ... as much data as possible
Would someone please point me to something that can explain how to use this plugin fully.
If you expect us to help you need to spend some effort providing the information requested in the template. The systeminfo bundle is by no means "N/A" as it provides much of the information we need to successfully help you.
You didn't even include the name of the plugin you are requesting help with. Did you attempt to communicate with the author via a github issue?
First the name of the plugin is in the title of the subject "Better Grbl Support"
Next I am asking for Instructions or a Manual on the plugin which you would not need to know the systeminfo bundle information to provide so why provide it?
I am not reporting a bug, I am new to using octopi with CNC as I stated.
Did I attempt to communicate with the author via github, No I don't know how to do that, maybe you should have led with that and How I would do that. I came here thinking this is where I would find help with this not the type of response you provided.
If this is the type of support I can expect from this forum for a simple request for operation instructions on a Plugin then maybe I should stop my monthly financial support to Octoprint.
I'm sorry you were unhappy with my response. Often what is "obvious" to the author of a Get Help topic is not always "obvious" to those of us who try to help. The questions (and links) in the template are intended to facilitate the collection of information that will help us help you.
This is a plugin used by maybe 170 people. Your best source is probably Home · synman/Octoprint-Bettergrblsupport Wiki · GitHub
With such a small user base, that is probably the best way, If you check the issues tab, you see one for documentation from 3 years ago.
The readme is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for pointing me to it. I did not know prior to this that some of the developers link their homepage to the plugin.
