Bigtreetech board and bed levelling

What is the problem?

I just installed a Bigtreetech SKR Mini E3. The Octoprint manual controls all work--X, Y, Z, Extruder, Home--but bed levelling doesn't. From "Bed Visualisation," "Update Mesh Now" runs auto home and heats the bed, but that's it. It doesn't do the 16-point probe. After the bed reaches 60 degrees, the printer display says "Bed mesh levels complete" and Octoprint shows the level display, but the mesh isn't really updated.

What did you already try to solve it?

Checked printer config and info settings. Nothing useful.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Yes

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

No. Same behaviour.

Should be attached.

Hello @ChrisMoller !

What commands have you setup in the Bed Visualizer plugin?

I don't change the default Bed Visualiser settings, but I suspect it doesn't matter. After I submitted this report yesterday, I discovered two patches by the board manufacturer, both of which concerned using the BLTouch sensor--without the patches, the board was trying to use it's own levelling process. Once the patches were installed, Octoprint levelling worked as it was supposed to.

BUT, both from Octoprint and from the printer control panel, levelling fails. The printer goes into a STOP state. I'm fairly sure this is either a manufacturer problem or my problem, so I'm going to close the Octoprint bug and contact the board manufacturer.

Many thanks for your response.

Probably not an Octoprint problem. The "solution" is to burn the BLTouch patches to the BigTreeTech board. With the patches installed, Octoprint seems to be doing the right thing but the board is still failing. I don't know yet whether it's my problem or the board manufacturer's problem,
