Can not set up Wyze V3 Camera

Wyze V3

Camera is not connecting, camera screen shows the broken paper looking symbol in the upper left corner and same thing when I try to stream test.

tried editing octopi.txt and adding "-y"

Attached is the log
octoprint.log (324.3 KB)

Running OctoPi 0.18.0 with OctoPrint 1.8.1

Any help would be great!

Did you flash the webcam firmware?

we need either the webcamd.log or the full systeminfo bundle

if the webcam firmware doesn't work, you could also use rtsp firmware and utilize restreamer. I've documented the process of installing that on a pi here.

Im trying but i keep getting PuTTY Fatal Error Remote side unexpectedly closed network connection

Also I can not find the webcam firemware for Wyze V3 only v2

Yeah seems like there is no webcam firmware for the V3

So I guess you have to use the rtsp firmware as @jneilliii suggested.

When do you get that message? While you're connected to the pi or is it not able to connect to the pi at all?

Yeah I downloaded the RTSP firmware for the camera. For PuTTY, ill put the ip in and it will connect and ask for the login which I will put the login as "pi" then it asks for the password but that is when it freezes. I have never been able to type the password in. I always get the error.

that's weird

you could try it with the integrated windows ssh
