Cannot set Baudrate on laptop, but working on Pi with same cable

What is the problem?
When trying to set buadrate with auto, I get Offline (Error: No more baudrates to test, and no suitable baudrate found.). My print is Monoprice Select Mini v2. It works fine on my Pi with the same cable.

What did you already try to solve it?

  • Confirmed laptop ports are functional with other devices
  • Confirmed correct port and permisisons
  • Have Monoprice Connection Fix plugin
  • Same cable as working Pi

Logs (octoprint.log, serial.log or output on terminal tab at a minimum, browser error console if UI issue ... no logs, no support!)

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, browser, operating system, ... as much data as possible)

  • OS: Arch Linux
  • Using Docker with latest Octoprint

Make sure to turn power saving off for the laptop USB ports, and don't let the laptop go to sleep. It will reset the printer when it does
