Can't create a username or login

What is the problem?

Installed on Pi3B, can SSH in and also see web login page in browser, but have no creds for web login page so how do I get some?

Help suggestions I have read say " there are no default creds, you set them up at first run" buit I've seen nowhere to set them up.

Other topics refer to resetting passwords, but I have no octoprint user to reset password for.

What did you already try to solve it?

Lots of googling but not found an answer, some refer to files my system does not have such as users.yaml

Have you tried running in safe mode?

No

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

Can't see why it would

Systeminfo Bundle

You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)

Can't get into Octoprint

Hello @Dade_Murphy !

Do you have No-Script running?

Hi,

I Have Adblock Plus in the browser, will that affect things?
Dade

For there are nod ads with OctoPrint: No.

But No-Script disables some things.

Thanks, I don't have No-Script running.

What should happen to enable me to set a username/password for the Octoprint web interface?

Thanks,

Dade

Did you skip any steps in the setup assistant? Setting up the user is one of the steps there.
As you probably have not been able to do any configuration on your installation, it would perhaps be easiest to flash the image to the sd card again and go through the setup assistant again.

Thanks,

I haven't seen a setup assistant, when does that appear?

What I have seen is the linux login screen (via SSH or a connected monitor), and the OctoPrint Web page login screen which I can't log into.

Ok, have done a reflash & reboot & now found that when I go to the Octoprint web page, the login page appeared, but after a few seconds the setup assistant appeared, so all is well.
Don't know why it didn't appear before.

Thanks

Glad it worked out. The first boot on a Pi3 can take a bit longer until the web interface shows up, perhaps you did not wait long enough the first time and it did not run properly.
