Can't download any plugins

this is what i get everytime i try and install a plugin using a fresh install of octopi-stretch-lite-0.16.0.

Installing plugin "AstroPrint Cloud" from needs to process external dependencies, that might make it take a bit longer than usual depending on the pip version/home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install --no-cache-dir --process-dependency-linksUsage:/home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install [options] <requirement specifier> [package-index-options] .../home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install [options] -r <requirements file> [package-index-options] .../home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install [options] [-e] <vcs project url> .../home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install [options] [-e] <local project path> .../home/pi/oprint/bin/python2 -m pip install [options] <archive url/path> such option: --process-dependency-linksError!Could not parse output from pip, see plugin_pluginmanager_console.log for generated output

been going through tons of forums to find an answer as to why this is happening but can't find a fix. i previously had no problems with 0.15.1 or any version for that matter.

The unformatted log entry is nearly inscrutable, but there's something about process-dependency-links in there. That leads me to this thread with the same problem, also installing AstroPrint.

There's a workaround in the linked issue.

In the future, please format your log entries so they are readable:

where do i find this preformatted text button? i know 0 about linux and all i know is last time i installed octoprint it ran beautifully on 0.15.1 and now on 0.16.0 i can print but i can't install any plugins as i get the Could not parse output from pip error. and cant get the test host & port to connect at all.

update i reinstalled 0.15.1 an it works as normal.
