What is the problem?
Changing resolution zooms in and does not become sharper

What did you already try to solve it?
Editing octopi.txt options.

Hi.

I read many posts about problems increasing the resolution of the webcams but could not find a solution for it. I like to get a better picture and not to zoom in. The webcamd daemon seems to recognize the setting correctly but it behave like a zoom. Does anybody knows what I have to do additionally? I changes the octopi.txt setting for picam to camera_raspi_options="-x 1280 -y 720 -hf -vf -fps 15"

Have you tried adjusting the focus on the camera itself? My image was a bit blurry at the distance my items print, but was pretty sharp behind the printer. I adjusted the focus so that the area I print became nice and sharp and not the area beyond the bed.

You can find the how-to with a Google search. There are specialized tools you can print or purchase, though small needle nose pliers or tweezers will work fine if you are gentle.

Hi.

I am using the iOS app on my iPad and like to Zoom in to view the part in detail. But the resolutions seem to less for that as the picture became blurry. Without Zoom it looks more or less fine but not like a HD movie. :slight_smile: Thats because I like to increase the resolution.

But as here are no much post I I am afraid that it is a bug or not possible anyhow.
