Compatibility of Octoprint with Ender3 V3 KE

What is the problem?

I have recently bought a Creality Ender3 V3 KE 3D printer and have read an article which states that this printer is NOT compatible with Octoprint. Is this true ?

What did you already try to solve it?

My previous Ender printer functioned quite happily with Octoprint on a Raspberry Pi 4 and it would be nice to have the great functionality back again.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Did not seem relevant. I haven't actually connected the Pi to the new printer as I am concerned about wrecking something irretrievably.

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

That printer runs on the Creality Klipper derivate.

So no, It will not run with OctoPrint right out of the box. And due to no one knows what Creatlity changed in Klipper, it will be almost impossible.

Thank you, Ewald, at least I know not to pursue it any further.

As far as I can tell, Klipper is licensed under GPL-3.0 so Creality is obligated to provide a copy of their version or they are in violation of the license agreement.

It's the same they already did with Marlin.

The main problem we have to deal with over in the Klipper forum when it comes to help with all sorts of Klipper derivates the users come to us.

Starting with the Sonic Pad, the complete "solutions" like the E3V3 KE, the K3 and so on.

And it's not Creality alone, also Elegoo and Anycubic.
