Connecting Ender 6 to octopi

What is the problem?

New to Octopi. Have an Ender 6 and looking for the PROPER way to hook up pi to Ender 6 to avoid power back feed. Any Ender 6 users that know how this is done without cutting wires and taping things. Tape comes off over time and causes problems.

What did you already try to solve it?

Have not hooked it up to USB yet for fear of power back feed.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

There is not really any other way - consider the problem that must be solved. You have to somehow block the power line in the USB cable. So the easiest solution is to tape over the end or cut the wires in the cable. The only thing you have left is an adapter like below:

There's various variations about that all do the same job.
