Day/Night Cam Recommendation

I want to put my 3D printer in a room that is dark 95 % of the time. But there are also situations when somebody switches on the light which results in the printer being in a low light part of that particular room.

Which camera would you recommend for this particular use case? Some Raspi-Day-and-Night-Camera or an IP cam that is built for that purpose.

Or is it not recommended at all for timelapses (= constant light conditions in the 3D printers enclosure would be better).

I can't help on webcams, but I can recommend setting up some LEDs on the printer that you can control through OctoPrint. I have created and maintain one of the plugins, so kinda shameless plug but I like it...
