What is the problem?

When I use a virtual printer with two extruders, tool 2 preheat does not work. I mean no matter what temp I enter, when I validate it, the value reverts to off.

What did you already try to solve it?

I have reinstalled from scratch octoprint without any plugins.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Yes

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

No

Have you configured the second extruder properly in config.yaml for the virtual printer? Can you paste the section of the config for it so we can see what else is configured there?

The virtual printer needs configuring as well.

Though note that it is really a development tool, assuming you're trying to use it to test something

Ok, I think I've committed a mistake.
In fact, as I can't connect my printer for the moment, I have used the virtual port hoping I can test the all features of octoprint.
Maybe I shouldn't have said virtual printer but virtual port.
Is it the same and if not, is this problem normal?

Virtual printer and virtual port are the same things as you are seeing them. You can configure the virtual printer as described in the config.yaml file, with the format above.

Well, after reading the docs, I realize that using the printer and the virtual port are much more complicated than I thought.
I think I will give up this feature.
