What is the problem?
I have a "new" Ender 3 Pro that has been in the box for a number of months.
I recently put it together and added a Creality brand CR Touch that I bought at the same time.
It has a V4.2.2 board
What did you already try to solve it?
I found firmware from Creality :
From Cr touch install firmware for ender 3 pro - Ender-3 V3 Printers - Creality Community Forum
I found a link to Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer | Creality Official Software and Firmware Download
Under “Older Versions”, there are two v4.2.2’s,
The first is “the nine-language version of Ender-3 Pro” which
downloads as “712a81af-0a6b-4ae0-b1b1-4b615c8dbeab.zip”
and unzips to “Ender-3 ProMarlin2.0.6HW4.2.2EuropeMultiLanguage.bin”
Loading it to my printer, the 4th up from the bottom of the first info menu screen is Languages, and English shows.
“About printer” says
Marlin
2.0.6

Ender-3 Pro
Power off, remove card, power up
No reference in the menus for the CR Touch, so this is useless for my purposes.
The second is “Ender-3Pro CR-touch/BL-touch version, compatible with support for filament detector”
which downloads as “59c8a91b-818b-4d30-8712-3693aa1b6b46.zip”
and unzips to “GD-Ender-3 ProHW4.2.2SW2.0.8.2CRTouchFilamentEuropeMulti.bin”
Loading it to my printer, the menus still come up in an Asian font. This time, it is the 2nd from the bottom that is Languages
“About printer” says
Ender-3 Pro
2.0.8.2

Power off, remove card, power up
Motion —> Level Bed
It move to a position where the probe is centered rather than the nozzle.
For the next point, it tries to move beyond the right hand side of the plate (X direction)
Again, useless to me if it won't do a proper bed leveling.
I then found a YouTube video:
[ CR Touch With Marlin Firmware ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaQSXZsybl0 ) ]
which was a tremendous help to me in creating a build file “firmware-20250914-154751.bin” using Marlin 2.1.2.5 (the latest/curent version)
Loading the compiled firmware “firmware-20250914-154751.bin” to my printer -
“About printer —> Printer Info” says
Marlin
2.1.2.5

Ender-3 Pro Plus
(my customized name)
Power off, remove card, power up
Level Bed
It zeroes on the X axis, then moves about +75mm X and does a touch point.
Then it goes to the left (- X) and tries to do another point where the probe would not even touch the plate.
Have you tried running in safe mode?
I am not certain that would help at all.
Adding another level of frustration, when I connect Octo-Print, the display says “Media Init Fail”
Systeminfo Bundle
octoprint-systeminfo-20251011193859.zip (20.9 KB)
I am hoping someone out there might offer a Clue to this Clueless One.
I cannot use this printer as it is.
