I am planning to get a PI 4 4gb for my ender 3 V2 and I was wondering whether it would be possible to display the progress and cancel prints though the screen of the ender 3 V2 much like the prusa mini?
The screen stays attached to the printer and doesn't talk to OctoPrint directly, but it can display progress & the other functions you mention using Host Action Commands (& for progress, a plugin). However the stock firmware from the manufacturer often doesn't support any of these extra features, so you usually need to build & flash your own version or find a pre-built binary somewhere.

I use Jyers firmware and can control the prints from the ender screen printed from octoprint no issues
