Ender 3 V2 shows Error:Printer halted. kill() called!

What is the problem?

I pre-heat the printer and when I go to start a print it throws this error, kills the extruder and bed, and freezes the screen on the printer. This wasn't an issue for over 2 years and then I went to use it and it started happening.

What did you already try to solve it?

reinstalling The Ender 3 V2 pluggin
reseating usb and using other ports

Yes

I figured it out finally. My Y axis tensioner came all the way lose so it couldn't finish homing, causing the failure.
