Ender 5 plus and MINTEMP

What is the problem?

Printer errors out with MINTEMP at startup when room cold.

What did you already try to solve it?

Increasing room temp fixes, but at a co$t.

Have you tried running in safe mode and if so did it solve the issue?

I don't think safe mode will fix this.

Additional information about your setup

OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, browser, operating system, ... as much data as possible

The basement space my printer is kept in takes a lot of money to heat. With the colder weather, the basement has been around 13 celsius according to my printer. Heating the room to even 20 celsius is costly, but fixes the problem. Printer prints fantastic! Can I adjust something to set MINTEMP to trigger lower, or will that screw something up?

Afaik you can set mintemp only before the firmware is compiled.

You could try heat up the bed and the hotend with a hairdryer at a low setting (so you don't melt anything) until the thermistors read a value above mintemp or build a new firmware with a lower mintemp

I thought the default was 5C, maybe yours is ~15? Yeah it's completely possible to adjust in the firmware at compile time, and exists in case the thermistor comes unplugged as they then read a very low value.
