How to get the onboard webcam to work?

so, I just got a webcam

But after I hooked it up, all I see it that the 2 infra sensors are dimmed red, but thats it.. I enabled it in octopi, but nada.
All it says is loading stream... this should be just plug and play, but for now it's plug and no play.. anyone have any suggestions?

a normal webcam works though.

I just did it through the command prompt and was able to record a clip, and seems to work. although its really fuzzy. so it's something in octoprint and idk what... any suggestions?
