What is the problem?
C270 webcam showing a black screen
What did you already try to solve it?
Changed the cam settings to the recomended and tested 1290x720 30fps
Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, octoprint.log, serial.log or output on terminal tab, ...)
Ender 3, octopi most current version. no error code.

I am using a proper power supply, with a raspberry Pi 3B

I am trying this to not have to buy another webcam.
(this webcam was given to me by a friend who got a higher resolution one.)

I've got 2 printers, both using the C270, and with the stock settings the only time mine shows a black screen is when there's no light or very low light

Do you have proper lighting ?

Have you tried the camera on another computer just to see if it actually works ?

For me, those cameras required absolutely no fiddling about with any settings
