If resolution changed camera does not function propery

i have a gopro hero4 through hdmit - csi2

when i plug it in and turn on octoprint everything is fine, but if i go into boot.txt and change the resolution area to 1920x1080 it changes the resolution but make the image bad, im not sure what it is called. kind of reminds me of water color painting.

What did you already try to solve it?
fresh install. changed setting per directions.

Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
not sure how to get logs for this

You have to change the camera resolution in the octopi.txt - where did you find a boot.txt?

Available mjpg-streamer configuration options

The following configuration options can be supplied to MJPG Streamer on start to modify certain camera settings. To change any of these options in OctoPi, edit the relevant sections in octopi.txt as described here. USB webcams (input_uvc.so) input_uvc.so comes bundled with MJPG Streamer. Also make sure to limit the fps to 25 or less. Afaik those hdmi to csi boards don't support higher framerates.
