IP cam connecting to octoprint

What is the problem?
Can you make octopi see an IP cam that not plugged into the pi but the same network

What did you already try to solve it?
I tried putting the cam's IP address in to the settings

Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
No log

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...) octoprint 0.18.0

Have you had a look at the MultiCam plugin? Seems to do something very similar to what you want to do. I wanted to use a Pi Zero W running a camera in a self-contained case (to take the load off the OctoPrint Pi) and connect to it as a networked webcam rather than a direct-cabled USB camera or Pi camera. MultiCam seems to do what I intended to set up, and it should help you out too.
