What is the problem?
Is there a way to have octoprint automatically try to connect to the serial port, reconnect if it loses connection, or periodically check to see if it can connect?
It sure would be a nice feature to have if it would just periodically check if a printer is there on the serial port.
I personally don't have disconnect problems on my serial line. I think I might review my setup a little if it did.
- does the serial cable have either internal metallic shield or one/two ferrite cores?
- are there adapters inline to the serial connection or is it just one straight cable?
- are the connections on both ends tight or do they make/break when the printer is vibrating during a print?
