Issues connecting to FlashForge printer - Running 1.8.1 on RP 4b

What is the problem?

When I upgrade to 1.8.1 from 1.7.3 I am no longer able to connect to my printer. When I down grade to 1.7.3 the printer will automatically connect with no issue.

What did you already try to solve it?

I have looked through the help and forum but am unable to find a solution.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Yes. It makes no difference.

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

No. If I was to guess I would guess the problem is related to the FlashForge Plugin which is no longer maintained.

Hello @Modeller309 !

Could you please share the systeminfo bundle?

octoprint-systeminfo-20220704121010.zip (26.5 KB)

Here it is.

The octoprint.log is quite empty.

You may try this plugin:

I have restarted OctoPrint and collected some data in the system bundle.

I am using the plug in you suggested. It is no longer maintained. It works with 1.7.3 but not with 1.8.1 I assume something changed in 1.8.1 but don't know what.

octoprint-systeminfo-20220704125731.zip (30.7 KB)

As for the octoprint.log, the plugin works:

2022-07-04 12:53:21,879 - octoprint.plugins.flashforge - INFO - Found a FlashForge FlashForge Creator Pro 2 3D Printer, port:1:3

As for the github, the plugin still seems to be maintained:

Have you seen the configuration hints on that site?

The plugin is not maintained. See message on this page

Yes the printer is found but it does not connect. It times out with 1.8.1. When I move back to 1.7.3 it works with no changes on my part.

Sorry, I've overseen that section...

No issues. Happy someone is willing to take a look.
