Layers value not displaying in obico

What is the problem?

II've got Octoprint and Obico's plugin working on my Prusa 3s+, but the "layer" setting in the webpage for my "wonderful remote printer" never shows any numbers in the layer field. it just shows --/--
What am I doing wrong?

What did you already try to solve it?

Googled looking for answers

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
