Makerbot Replicator 2X failing to print after upload

What is the problem?

Makerbot Replicator 2X failing to print after upload.

So far I can connect to the printer and upload a .x3g file.

If I then select the .x3g file to print, it begins to send the file to the printer but then errors out and disconnects from the printer. I've attached the error logs in case someone can help.

Hello,
the readme for the gpx plugin says it won't work when you try to upload a .x3g file.

Upload gcode from your slicer to OctoPrint.

OctoPrint only understands ".gcode" and then GPX translates it to x3g. Don't upload x3g to OctoPrint. That won't work.

On the other hand, only use ".x3g" with the printer's SD card. It doesn't understand gcode and GPX running in OctoPrint can't help the firmware with it directly on the SD card.

Thanks, I was doing some reading late last night and came across the same info. Will give it a try and see if it behaves.

Please let us know if it works for you.

Confirmed that prints work fine when using GCode
