Multicam not working on Raspberry Pi 5

Camera model

PS Eye (Playstation 3) yes i know this has stone age potential

What is the problem?

Cant get it set up as 2nd Camera w/ Multicam (The PS Eye)

!!This is likely NOT camera related. It shows up when running ls /dev/v4l/by-id and it ran on the old Pi 3 flawlessly. I am upgrading because Slicing and Camera usage as well as many addons is too much power consumption on the pi 3!!Preformatted text

What did you already try to solve it?

(To avoid confusing myself: I am talking about /octopi.conf.d/webcam2.txt )

-Tried copying to SD directly
-Tried Using WinSCP
-Tried Moving it from /boot/ to /boot/firmware (this fixed octopi.txt, saw that this was causing some issues in the logs.)

Have you tried running in safe mode?

No, i cant see why this would fix it

Systeminfo Bundle

You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)
octoprint-systeminfo-20250930190121.zip (160.2 KB)

Im gonna attach the bundle in here. I dont know if /var/log/webcamd.log is attached to the bundle

Anyone able to help me?

Probably not so much a Pi5 issues, more related to Bookworm used on the Latest Build.

I've got it working with 3 Cams on My Test Install.
Needed to use the advice in the Setup thread that mentioned editing this file....

Are your setting correct Linux File Permissions when trying the above?
