What is the problem?

My Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint won't connect to my RAMPS v1.4 3d Printer (RepRap Guru V1)

What did you already try to solve it?

Restarting both Pi and machine, running Pi in safe mode, parity double open workaround options, unchecking and rechecking "request exclusive access to the serial port", all USB ports on Pi, different USB cables, all baud rates (and auto of course).

Have you tried running in safe mode and if so did it solve the issue?

Yes I have tried, no it has not worked.

OctoPrint Version 1.4.2 running on Raspberry Pi 3 B+ connected to RepRap Guru v1 3d printer (utilizing RAMPS v1.4 board).

Hello @Rodrigo_Teles !

So you are also still running OctoPrint 1.4.2 on a RasPi 3 B+ an OctoPi 0.17.0 and the same plugins the OP has?

Thanks for replying! It is a newer version but presenting the same problem. I already solved it by changing the USB cable. Thank you!

A problem always includes the cause of the problem and the circumstances.
As you are running a newer OctoPrint, I recommend to open a new Get Help thread wit giving all the required information that are asked for.

Besides, this thread is one year old.
