Not connecting reliably

What is the problem?

I lost my Octopi and am redoing it and now it will not reliably connect to my ender3v2. I am running the latest Jyers firmware (bugfix-JyersUI 2.0.1) and this had been running fine before I lost the octopi.

What did you already try to solve it?

tried differ port, cable and tried the settings in Serial Control

Have you tried running in safe mode?

no, I use PSU to power up the printer. Can't in safe modeoctoprint-systeminfo-20220117005111.zip (197.3 KB)

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

Would I need to completely redo octoprint?

I enabled the serial log so it should be with the bundle.
Thank you

From time to time you get some connection issues

You may check the quality of your USB connection: As short as possible, double shielded, ferrite beads.
It's to assume that there is some EMI issue, maybe from a fridge, an AC or some other high power device. Changing the power outlet can sometime help.

This exact setup was working fine before I damaged the microSD card and had to reload. I Did try a new usb cable (6in high quality) and still have connection issues.

I was relocating the Pi and took it to my desk to change the ribbon for the camera. Apparently I disloged the SD card and it burned up. Reloading from new, I now have connection problems.

Note: The pi was on my desk away from the printer when I damaged the SD card, so nothing on the printer was changed. I have a feeling a setting is wrong somewhere. I can get the error when PSU powers up printer and immediately after I can hit Connect and it will connect fine. I have a post power on time of 10 sec. If I open the Connections box and disconnect and then connect, it gets stuck at Connecting. If I then disconnect and reset port and baud to Auto, it will connect. When connected it is on port /dev/ttyUSB0 and baud is 115200. It seem like the first time it tries to connect, it gets the mismatch error, next try, it connects. This is my Terminal window from two consecutive connects while in safe mode. terminal.log (2.2 KB)

Did a fresh install, no plugins...Connects and disconnects fine. Added PSU control and Psu control rpi.gpio. Psu functions properly, but the printer comes up serial mismatch when Psu powers up printer.

Gave up. Not getting anywhere.
