OctoClient not connecting

What is the problem?
I have downloaded OctoClient on my iPhone XR and I can't get it to connect to OctoPrint. I have OctoPrint installed on my Windows 10 machine, everything works perfectly with OctoPrint but I can't get OctoClient to connect from my phone.

What did you already try to solve it?

  • Change to both of my Wifi's (regular WIFI and 5G WIFI)
  • Changed the hostname to my IPv4 and to my local IP
    I just can't get the software to connect at all. I can't figure out what to do to fix it.

Logs (syslog, dmesg, ...)

Did you also filled in the API key of OctoPrint to OctoClient?

Windows doesn't have Bonjour by default so wouldn't be able to advertise its hostname on the local network. You could consider adding the Bonjour client to your Windows computer.

Your phone needs to be connected to the same wifi network and it needs to use that instead of your cell data.
