OctoPi and Python 2.7 EOL

I'm seeing this message when I upgraded OctoPrint to 1.3.11. And I looked for a thread on this issue here before posting, but found none:

DEPRECATION: Python 2.7 will reach the end of its life on January 1st, 2020. Please upgrade your Python as Python 2.7 won't be maintained after that date. A future version of pip will drop support for Python 2.7.

The thing is, I installed this version of OctoPi just a few months back and its already running OctoPi version 0.16.0 (which is the latest).

The OctoPi GitHub repository says, from GuySoft:

You have to reflash to upgrade, OctoPi is an image so there is no way
around that.

But since I'm already at the current image, and I'm still geting the Python 2.7 EOL message, there appears to be no real remedy for this issue at this time.

I also see that OctoPrint 1.4 will support Python 3, but that was back in Mar '18.

Any update on when the OctoPi image will contain Python 3?

Or am I missing something here?

Thanks!

Definitely as soon as it's needed, which it currently isn't since OctoPrint 1.3.x isn't and won't be Python 3 compatible.
