I had the same issue, using http://octopi/?#control worked for me instead of using the ip address

Thanks for the workaround! FYI for me, it's only the latest version of Safari (Version 15.1) using macOS Monterey 12.0.1 that octopi.local doesn't work. Sometimes octopi.local works and most of the time it doesn't. And yes I've given it (the camera) permission in preferences. All of my other browsers work (Chrome, Firefox, and even Microsoft Edge for macOS). Also safari for iOS works. What's nice about safari is that I have it syncing across all of my apple devices.

THANK YOU. I finally got a webcam to integrate into my system but I could not for the life of me figure out why the stream wouldnt show in Octoprint window, but was showing up under the monitor tab in CURA. This fixed it immediately. I made this account solely to thank you lol
