After having experienced problems updating Octopi to v1.7.0, I finally pulled myself together and updated Python from 2.7 to 3.x (I performed the system backup, installed the new image 0.1.8.0 and restored the backup) Everything went just fine except the webcam stream now looks garbled from both my webcams. They both worked perfectly before. I far as I understand it should not be necessary to fiddle with the webcam.txt file via SSH anymore, as Octopi should be able to setup the camera correctly. But how do I select a higher resoulution than 640x480, then?

I have have downloaded and installed "Camera Settings 0.3.0" from Taylor Talkington to be able to monitor the chosen camera settings. It seems, from the camera ID, that both my camera are detected correctly.

Could be under voltage.
Try to power the pi off, disconnect all usb devices except the webcam (inlc the printer), power the pi back up and try again.

Apart from the webcam, the only connected device is the 3D printer itself. I have tried to disconnect that as well, but unfortunately without any positive result. Both webcams worked perfecly before I performed the upgrade. So I suggets that it must have something to do with some software settings / parameters.

Anyway - thanks for your suggestion. It was worth trying.

Where'd you get this information from? The way to configure the cameras hasn't changed, it is still /boot/octopi.txt.

Well, I might have misunderstood the meaning, but I have read it here:

"You also do not need to manually enable the RaspiCam** if you have one, that is already taken care of on the image as well."

But assuming I need to add the parameters myself in "octopi.txt" and looking at the camera list here:

I'm a bit confused what line I need to add/edit in "Octopi.txt" Maybe you can help me? :slightly_smiling_face: By default I would like to enable the Logitech C310 camera in 1280x720 mode.

Don't mind the "log" name of "octopi.txt". I had to rename it in order to be allowed to upload it.
