Octoprint and raspberry pi question

What is the problem?

HI, so i have 4 Ender 3 pro's and an ender 5 plus. I was thinking of connecting them to octoprint due to me being on nightshift so i can monitor them.

What i need to know is, do i need a camera for each machine?

Does raspeberry pi allow more than one camera connection?

What did you already try to solve it?

If you are able to position the camera in a way that shows both machines and is acceptable to you then you can certainly point one instance of OctoPrint to the other machines camera.

The Pi has an internal CSI camera option thats limited to one camera. You can however use/add a USB webcam.

Thanks for that. Can i use octoprint for the machines and use cameras on other software without having to install a raspberry pi?

Yep. As long as the camera serving software provides a similar way of receiving images/video as mjpg-streamer
