What is the problem?
Octoprint boots into safe mode most of the time

Have you tried running in safe mode?
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, browser, operating system, ... as much data as possible
Basically, i once corrupted the sd card from not shutting it down properly. Bummer 
anwywas, from then, i always run the shutdown command to turn off octoprint before turning of the printer psu which the pi is being powered with. Only problem is everytime i turn it back on (or almost everytime) it goes straight into safe mode.
