Octoprint doesn't stop print job

I'm running OctoPrint 1.8.6 on OrangePi Zero 2 running Orange Pi 3.0.6 Bullseye with Linux 5.16.17-sun50iw9 to control my Ender 3 S1 Pro. Works beautifully, camera works, almost all is good. However, when I cancel and confirm a print job in OctoPrint, the printer stops printing, but the job doesn't seem to end. If I then go to the printer and press the stop button (square), the printer asks me to confirm that I want to kill the job. If I confirm, the hotend moves up and returns to home and the job is over. I'm assuming that this isn't the way it should work?

Creality firmware. You may need to add M75/M76/M77 in the appropriate locations in OctoPrint's gcode scripts.
