Octoprint in docker on NUC too slow

I run octoprint reliably in a docker image on a Intel NUC serving as a NAS (openmediavault), too. Apparently, it sometimes results in poor printing quality. Especially on round structures it stutters. Printing off the SD card with the same G-code results in much smoother prints.

Is there a chance to prioritize octoprint on such a "shared" system while printing? I'd be fine if the NAS "sleeps" when octoprint prints and the octoprint docker gets 100% resources. But I don't know how to set this up.

Are you using other usb devices on the nuc?

Well, the printer is the only external device (USB2 port). Though, the linux system drive is a USB stick on a USB3 port.
