Octoprint not starting at boot

What is the problem?

When I try to connect my printer to octoprint, it seems to be not running.

What did you already try to solve it?

Not so much, sometimes switching of the RPI power.
And when that doesn't work log in tothe RPI and issue the command:
sudo service octoprint restart.
But it is very tedious to do these things when you want to print.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

No

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

No idea.

Hello @Piet_Bos !

A bit more information would be helpful:

  • Do you connect to the Pi via WiFi or LAN?
  • Do you use http://octopi.local or the IP address?

If you may connect an HDMI TV/monitor to the Pi.
If it all works correct, you will get a valid IP at the end of the startup sequence.

This can lead to issues of various kind. Up to that the Pi can't boot. Or it boots, but the server does not start.

So you can connect via SSH?

How long do you wait after you boot it up before you try to connect? It can take a couple minutes to boot and start octoprint. And the more plugins you have, the longer it will take to start
